Fishing industry in Kamchatka is 100 years in the 1996. The publication "Chronicle of the fishery century" is dedicated to this date.
The Far-Eastern Fishery Studio was founded in December 1996 (on the base of creative union "Studiya-Vostok" of the Charitable Public Foundation of Rescue of Kamchatka Salmon). We publish materials about the films of our studio in the heading "N.P"-video" of every issue of "Northern Pacific". In this number we tell about a series of films "Polygon of the Okhotsk sea" (about the problems of the open part of the Okhotsk sea); "Chronicle of the fishery century" is about the jubilee of Kamchatka fishing industry; "Who needs it - this Vaska?" is about the problems of research and conservation of sea-lions in the Northern Pacific.
